Electoral committtee: Everything is ready for February 12 vote

PRIMARIES 2012. "We have to report on a succesful day. At this time (5:30 pm, Venezuelan local time), we have set up all of the polling centers throughout the country," said Teresa Albanes, the president of the opposition Unified Democratic Panel (MUD) Electoral Committee, at a press conference on Friday.

AGRICULTURE . Executive Vice President Elías Jaua, who is also the Minister of Agriculture and Lands, warned national and foreign chocolate companies based in Venezuela that failure to pay the raw cocoa price set by the government will lead to "temporary occupation" of those factories, as provided under the Organic Law on Food Reliable Supply and Sovereignty and the Law on Defense of People in the Access to Goods and Services.
